I've got 2 pairs of carbs here which need a good clean. I've had a search locally and cant find a lot apart from ebay which is telling me £50 for 2 carbs. Seems a lot to me when i could buy an ultrasonic cleaner for £40 and do it myself.

Does anyone have any advise? Am i looking at the wrong thing?

    Educate me please.

Funnily enough we were talking about this at the show on the weekend. I got a quote off a guy for £25 per carb which included dismantling & reassembly afterwards. Worth buying the kit if you - and a mate perhaps?s - have several carbs etc to clean.
We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.”

Looked into this a bit more today and found a more powerful ultrasonic bath. I should have it some when this week so we'll see what kind of results I get. I will report back as soon as I've used it. Thanks for the reply's.
