Bike's blown a big end. Not economic to repair. Spent over £500 on it last Friday...down the drain.
Looking for a new one.

Not the trumpet? Big end thats unusual?
Kin cheers......
gutting feeling that, spending out on the bike to see it go up in a puff of smoke. Hope you get something sorted
Sad news but you could get something more comfortable now !
It has been suggested that my coil problem may have started quite a while ago. Causing slight mis-firing, mis-timing and gradually putting unbalanced stresses on the piston, con-rod & big end of #3 pot over a period of time.
Could be right.
how about an engine swap and part out your old bits to get some money back?
Changed oil and coolant. Latter looked as if it was sourced from Weston beach when the tide was out.
Cleaned and oiled chain, having removed leaking Scottoiler. Cleaned back wheel.
Removed tatty heated grips and fitted dual-density ones with nice yellow flecks.
Upgraded horn and h/l bulbs lamps.
New clutch cable. B*****d new throttle cable, another en route.
Changed gaudy gold levers to black. Changed seat.
Fitted new plugs & air filter. Fitted new front pads.
We're getting there...next ???
Sorry to hear of your bike's demise ....
nightmare mate, especially after laying out so much to get it sorted
