I hope lessons are learnt - this should not happen.

I guess the lesson is, if you are going to crash, don't do it on a border :-)
Alternatively, if you do have a crash on a border, it would probably be best if you rolled or skated deeper into the county of choice, to ensure you avoid being passed from one service to the next.
The big question is how far into the county do you have to be to be considered "safe"? Do you think 1/2 mile is sufficient? :-)

Phone 999 and say you've been drink driving, police from the nearest 9 counties will turn up to jam a breathalyser in your gob, desperate to get the arrest figures up.

Bleeding hell, even the AA or RAC would have got there by then!
We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.”

    Government targets strike again.
They're destroying everything from healthcare to education.
    Disgusting.

3 hours in a ditch with a broken arm, for gods sake

I Heard the chap being interviewed on the radio lunchtime a couple of days ago, shocking. Very scary to think people in these type of roles would have that attitude. After they'd spoken to him several people called in with similar horror stories including one woman who's dad had died whilst waiting
