Hello all, I am Chris and live in Andover. I started motorcycling again a year or so ago after a break of 40years, on a Piaggio 500cc 3 wheeler, which gave me the confidence to go the whole hog (pun intended) and now drive a Harley heritage softail classic (1550cc). This may have been overambitious as it is a heavy bike to manoeuvre in awkward parking spots. So far I've only put 500 miles on it in 6 weeks and fallen off 3 times which I attribute to its weight and my dotage ( I qualify for a free TV licence) I will get some practice in during the summer. Any tips welcome, apart from a body building course.

Hi and welcome, I'm sure you will build up your strength and be throwing it around soon
We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.”

Just take it very steady, find a car park and get used to doing tight turns at slow speed. Then Roberts your dads brother!

Hi Chris and welcome to the group. Confidence comes through practice, so get on it and enjoy it! Of course further training with ROSPA or the IAM can also help
Orange ones are faster, but red ones are more comfortable!

Hi Chris. Nice bike. Large cruisers can be a bit awkward when manoeuvring at v low speeds. Welcome to WB. . Richard
