You're right the law is the law, but those who govan us and those who pull their strings and don't kid yourself that us, have been dismantling the mechanism too get justice for us in the form of massive cuts too citizens advice, legal aid, trading standards the police, and proposals to curtail no win no fee legal practices, so if they say no and you can't afford to take them to court what do you do then.
True justice is the cornerstone of a democracy you lose that and you lose everything.
You don't need to take them to court, trading standards will, all you need to do is keep TS updated and they will advise of the way for you to escalate, and take proceedings if necessary, dealers get a black mark for that, and would rather avoid.
