    Hi Guys,

I am looking to put an external power connector on the ZZR 1400 (2014) so I can power my phone as a Sat Nav. Does anybody know if there is a power connection already on the bike for this, if not what is the best way to do this?

    Cheers

    Clem

You can find some diy options around the altoids usb projects.

A Very basic 7805 wired in will give you regulated 5v power to 1a, but will get quite hot depending on the drain. Some capacitors on input and output should be used so smooth out any spikes.

If you don't want to go soldering it would be an external weatherproof lighter socket to the bike for 12v and the usual adapter from that.

I use something similar to this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12v-Motorc...item4d1d3635de . Got a little USB adaptor for it too. Simple as it gets just connect to battery and mount it wherever you want it (mines under the seat).
