    hello and welcome. i went straight onto a ZX6R for my first bike. infact it is in your budget price if your interested Good luck on your tests etc

    Thank you for all the welcomes guys! I put a deposit down on my first bike today, a CBR400RR, mega excited just about covers it!

    Thanks guys, the 125 I was on was a real dog, it kept cutting out and refused to go into neutral sometimes. Jumped on my mums CBR600 tonight just going up and down the road and it was such a difference - difinitive gear changes (even if only up to 2nd) and so much smoother - so glad I've gone for a bigger engined bike for my first!
