Looking to get a second bike to run through the winter thats easy to ride and comfortable but not too big as garage already quite full. Thinking of maybe an aprilia pegaso 650. Anyone have any experience of these bikes? (or have one parked up that you don't use any more).

Have a look also at the BMW F650 as it's a very similar bike, with a slightly less powerful engine, but perhaps more numerous?
Orange ones are faster, but red ones are more comfortable!

cheers Jed. I see they look very similar. Not really bothered about power. I just want a comfy easy bike to go to work on. I'll see if I can find one to look at.

If you keep it washed, or don't care about the finish too much you can't go wrong with an sv650. They're also much fun in the summer. Cheap too I expect?

Something along the same lines as the F650, have you considered a Honda Transalp?

Honda CB500. Cheaper to run and tax, bomb proof motors and fun to ride.

I spotted this on the F650 forum (f650.co.uk): http://www.f650.co.uk/forums/showthr...50-strada-2001 I'm not sure if the link will work but it seems like a late low mileage bike in good well looked after condition. Could be a bargain if you're quick. I don't know the owner, so obviously you would need to carry out the usual checks before buying.

    Good luck Jed

I dont suppose you would be interested on a restored, professional re-sprayed car 600 FL 90G, with every part refurbished or changed and upgraded. Rides like a new bike !!
Counting down until my next ride out!

Thanks for all tips. I'll see how I get on tomorrow with the f650 and take it from there. The last single I rode was my first bike a suzuki ts 125 many years ago so interested to see how this one feels.
