    ****e... Am determined to keep riding for as long as possible before chickening out by using the car. I used waxoyl before on my car so may treat the bike to some.

    Thanks for that James – that explains why the lorry driver I flagged over earlier to tell him he was shedding his load, was so irate with me.

    You buy a can of ACF50 and spray it everywhere that water can get too. Then when spring comes you wash it off, in the mean time your bike looks filthy on the surface but is safe underneath
