Just watched that Andy and that guy has one sharp brain to spout out such oratory brilliance at such a rate of knots. I have completely changed my mind about him even found him funny at times.

You used to think I was a bit of a knob?
    Cheers mate! 😂

Can't believe how well Brand came across and how churlish Paxman looked.
He really is the voice of his generation.

    "Used to"???? Lol only joking

Paxman has always been compulsive viewing for me with his all guns blazing interviewing technique, nailing politicians and allcomers' arses to the mast. His out of character tentative approach to interviewing Brand reminded me of the playground scenario where the established bully comes up against the new start and meets his match. PMSL

To be honest I dont feel that Paxman was phased at all by Brand, in all probability he could only agree with what he was saying when you see what his relationship has been like with politicians over the years. You only have to watch Paxman's interview with Blair to see what he's capable of . I reckon he was steering him to help draw him out...............

I must admit I was quite supprised at Russel Brand and the way he carried off the interview, personally as a comedian I can't abide the guy and his style, I nearly didn't even bother looking at the interview because it was him, on the other hand my Mrs loves him but there you go, after watching him with Jeremy Paxman I have a new found respect for the man, I also found myself nodding at many of his points and even more so in the conviction that he made them, interesting views.

Andy, Never thought of it like that and you could be right. Loved Brand's sarcastic remark, "I'm not Michael Howard " with reference to the infamous Newsnight interview with the then Home Secretary. Remember it very well - Paxman at his best. Ave it!!!

    I haven't listened to this

In a recent diatribe on BBC, Hollywood actor Russell Brand with Jeremy Paxman spoke candidly about his desire to create a "Socialist egalitarian system based on the massive redistribution of wealth and heavy taxation of corporations." In this commentary we question Brand's so called "good intentions" and how qualified he really is to talk about these topics as a multi-millionaire. More importantly, we discuss his connection to the Fabian Socialist magazine the "New Statesman," of which he was co-editing for a week before his senseless speech and call for a revolution on TV.

    I'm shocked.
It took them 1 minute and 32 secs to mention september 11th! Right wing yanks are normally much quicker than that.
Luckily most Americans know that Fox news is a pile of crap.
