Slightly off topic but I recently had a speeding fine handed to Bailiffs from 2007 (I completely forgot about because I had moved) that the Magistrates charged the Bailiffs to recover... which they tried to with horrendous recovery fees... Cut a long story short - I used the advice on this website, paid the fine online... Called the bailiff and informed him I had no contract with their company, only the Magistrates which has now been paid... after trying to bully me and insisting I owe them, I explained to him that no court in the land can enforce your fees - only the outstanding fine, no more no less. After a bit of stuttering on his part he accepted this. They sent me a letter trying to recover their fees threatening locksmiths, I called them up... Again said no contract, if I have anymore harassment I'll see you in court. I think they got bored and went and bullied some poor single mother who knows know better. These bastards work off your fear. I have heard nothing since.
It's really sad tho that they WILL bully someone else more vulnerable, play off of their fear and they may not have anyone to turn to ...

Agreed, but there are good people out there that are willing to share this info... Thanks to the internet this info is readily available. It may go against peoples judgement to go against what these bullies are saying/demanding, it's just about holding your nerve and knowing - not relying on rumours (oh they can force entry you know) my dad thought I was was nuts not paying it telling me they can come in and take my stuff, my car, my bike to recover the debt.

Now they want to censor the internet - saying there's to much porn... Yeah really? Whys that I wonder or is it an excuse? I reckon there's a darker initiative at work here.

If it is porn they want to censor, they will have to pry it from my cold dead hand - I mean warm oily hand haha

Bike or car? I'm guessing car but some pay & display allow free parking for bikes. If car they have to prove it was working before you turned up, hardest part you have is proving when you arrived. Either way they expect you to roll over and pay but you should fight it!

It was the girlfriends car. She's dealing with it herself now.

I've noticed a lot of car parks now have signs (small print naturally) saying that they are unsuitable for motorcycles.
I know of 2 in Bath.
Park in them and you will get a ticket. 😕
