I have just booked to go over at Calais on a Friday and return on a Monday late August. Does any one know any scenic area's to tour?
I would prefer to stay in one spot and tour each day.

If you're up for a bit of a drive to get there - I've stayed here before: http://www.lechapeaubleu.com/en/

Run by Ron & Carole - lovely people (Brits, so language not an issue) with Spanish & French Pyrenees on the door step, "Cols" used for the Tour de France in every direction, it makes for an amazing riding holiday.

We went there via the Millau Viaduct: http://www.leviaducdemillau.com/ which is also well worth a visit.

If you're not so fussed about clocking up miles and want something a bit more touristy - try Quimper, Concarneau, or Mont St. Michel

With the time frame you have I would stick to areas not far from Calais, otherwise all your going to see is Motorway. There are some nice areas around Le Touquet and especially the town of montreuil sur mer.

Cheers all, I was worried that it may not be a great part of France to ride, but it does seem like some really good countryside
