I done one of the local police Bike safe events on sunday (one that doesn't involve a track) and i must say that it was a really good experience. I done mine in Radstock, nr Bath, and would recommend it to pretty much anyone. There was a vast array of bikes there and a huge range of experiences.
For those who haven't done 1 before it starts off with a 2 hour presentation by the police about road positioning, overtaking, filtering etc. After a short break for a brew and some lunch it was out on the roads for just over 3 hours putting everything into practice. I had concerns about being slow but they soon went after a few miles with the other 2 in my group. Lots of stops, lots of fast road riding, and lots of pointers from the police. Was also very good to see what the police can do on there bikes.
Currently the best £25 i have spent on anything to do with the bike and considering doing an advanced course now to progress even further.
I would seriously recommend it to anyone who has not done anything like that or any advanced riding courses as it does make you think.

Just thought i would share it with you guys
