    a tale of two countries.
    bought a KBC helmet at the bike show a couple of years ago. on the KBC web site they say 2 years warranty and a further 3 years unconditional warranty. been kept in the box , only used a hand full of times. rode to work last week and on arrival one side was just about hanging on. got to the unit and rang KBC UK importers, they said I need a receipt and take it up with the seller, (lost receipt no help), but only warranty for 1 year. after arguing with the woman , saying the web site says 5 years and we are a bike shop she reluctantly told me to email their returns dept.
    meanwhile , I sent KBC an email, 6pm thursday . reply came from KBC USA, they replier said reply with address and they will send replacement... from America? maybe.
    anyway, todays post arrived (Tuesday) and a parcel with two pairs of plates that fit on the helmet. cant fault the American side of the company. the UK side!!!!

    Sounds like a gross margin protection scheme on the UK side!
    Well done you Americans (and it's not often I say that)
