    Hi,

I am servicing my bike and need to do an oil and filter change. Any recommendations on oil filters? K&N? Champion? OEM? Let me have your comments/knowledge/ideas.... You get the picture. Are there any real differences or is it just hype anyway.

    Cheers

You aren't going to go far wrong with OEM, if that's what the bike maker's have put in from the start. I used a K&N last time and again any well known brand should be fine. The only ones to maybe avoid would be something very cheap and from an unknown brand.

Again, if you go with the grade that bike manufacturer suggest and just make sure it's a good make you should be fine. If they suggest mineral or semi synth, go with that. Going to fully synth can cause clutch slip on some bikes if it's not designed for it. Castrol, Motul, Silkolene, etc are quality brands. I'm using Castrol GPS in the CBR which seems fine and use Motorex in the Aprilia.
