Hi has anybody got the META M351A Alarm fitted to there ride.
    As i did untile yesterday.
I had nothing but probs with this alarm ( going off at 2am) not good >.
Thursday i rode down to Exeter and broke down 3 times >
Every time it would blow the HI beam fuse although i did not have main beam on :-? so the bike just died managed to pull it over to the side of the road stripped the back end off pulled the alarm off. Put it back on with a new fuse and bobs your uncle it worked for a mile or two and the same thing happened.
Has any body else had any probs like this before ?
It will be very interesting in the replies [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Think this topic as been raised several times...

IMHO They're problematic at the best of times. Having a decent Alarm system fitted 300-400 notes + or extra £15 on ones premium without an alarm.

If the thieving scum bags want your pride an joy they'll lift it!

In saying that to some they're a deterrent :-/

Hope all goes well 1stbusa [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Rode to work this morn and every thing is as should be
Got me there and back yehaaa

On my last bike i had i put a cheap alarm on it.
And had no probs what so ever.

ONFIRE is right if the thieving scum bags wants the bike they will get it one way or another.
I am going to put a cheap alarm on just for a deterrent [smiley=thumbsup.gif] And of peace of mind [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
I am not paying another £250 for one. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I agree with onfire you will never get your money back on your insurance.

I personally would never fit one, if you don’t ride your bike for long periods you will also have to buy a trickle charger, the only bike I have ever had with an alarm I removed as it caused too much grief.

Invest in a good chain and ground anchor

Is there anyone on here with any knowledge about removing alarms? I want the one on my trackbike removed, but I know it's not an easy task what with all the 'fake' wires

It also won't be published on the internet for security reasons.
