    Lino offcuts are your friend

    I have a big piece that unrolls right across the back of my garage for doing mucky jobs - if I do spill anything I can mop it up rather than have it soak in and permanently stain the floor!
    100 Japanese horses now unmuzzled! Derestricted hooliganism has commenced...

    Top tip:
    Before you fit you new cartridge - style filter, fill it with oil & leave it for 5 mins. The filter paper will absorb about 1 1/2 fills & allows the new oil to flow straight thro without






    wasting


    valuable


    seconds

    saturating

    the filter




    itself before going round the engine...

    Normal filters can be placed in an old tin can & presoaked:


    Saves slopping oil in the filter 10 seconds before fitting it and pouring oil down the front of the engine/exhaust pipes while frenziedly trying to screw it on... :
