Haven't tried doing my own maps yet but sounds like fun.
They were very good when they did the Sv. Improved it no end!

Gimme 20 quid and I will test the performance , am sure there are others here that will do it even cheaper.

    lol @ performance testing.

£30 for James' dad to cane your bike down the road and back.

So....why the need for a PC MM? Is it because the bike is running a bit rich?

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

do you have a "capped take off point" in the downpipes for an oxygen sensor?....
if so you could strap a voltmeter to the clocks, wire in the PC and add a wide range sensor to the exhaust and map it yourself on the road under real conditions...

the fuelling creates a reading on the volt meter through the O2 sensor, and you can then use the buttons on the PC to alter the fuelling.

gissa shout next time youre in the pub, this way you could even fit a second hand PC and add a map thats quite close before adjusting it in the correct rev range/volt meter reading.....

To be honest, that's a lot of money just to cure a problem which isn't really a big 'un anyway. A new end can wouldn't have made that much of a difference. If it were a full system though a remap would be a must.

If the new can affected the power delivery with maybe a flat spot then I'd agree that a PC is necessary.

But it's your money of course. However, if it were me, I'd just wait till I spotted a bargain on ebay.
