have removed radiator from bike today and this is what it looks like
alot of the fins r mashed whilst its off and that is it a good idea to find a better condition one? this summer even in the hottest parts of day sat in traffic the temp never exceeded 105c and obviously the fan would cut in and take it down to about 98
needs new bracket to its totally rusted lol

You can push the damage back out from the other side by using one of the metal zip-ties used for exhaust bandaging?

spend a while "tweezering" the fins, then spend your money on a "rad guard" that will stop this happening again, paint the rad matt black too....

Rather than fork out £40 or more for a specially made Rad Guard, you can achieve the same effect with a panel of 6mm (or 1/4" in old money) wire mesh from a DIY place - the sort of stuff that rabbit runs are made from. Cut to size, trim off any sharp bits and fit to the front of the radiator with cable ties. Dead simple, cheap and as effective as anything you can buy to do the job. 8-)
