Had this on the Sv. The battery dropped a cell. Had to replace the battery.

ok my multimeter is dead.............i chargered the battery for 30mins and ir fired up....left it idling for 20mins.

now if the charging system was dead the battery wouldnt have lasted 20mins on idle with lights on and fan running. so i stopped it and let it sit for 15 mins and it fired up straight away no hassel.

i ran it over to my mates about 2 miles...had a chat with him turned bike off for 15mins....fired up again fine.

just been down town on it and its working fine.

only thing i can think of is

its either "one of them" things that just happened. or there is a drain on the battery..whilst its turned off.

any more ideas and advice much apreciated cheers

    Dan

(i will try n find a multimeter to check its charging)

Multimeters are cheap enough on eBay, paid like £7 for mine? Hard to diagnose without a voltage reading whilst its running?

You SURE you didnt leave the lights on??
