i have been talking to a guy breaking same bike as me on ebay.

he has given me a price of £170 for complete rear shock and linkage.

after stripping mine down and finding rusted out bearings......

1 i cannot get the bearing case out of top linkage for love nor money.

also the bottom linkage seems to have been hit by a large stone or something and has a rather nice dent in it.

so i am thinking its a wiser option to get the ebay item rather than try n sort out mine.

the shock has come off a bike that has done 14K where as mine has done 36k ;D

    what you think guys?

Bear in mind that the bearings may not be that good. I'd replace them as a matter of course.

Getting a bearing race out requires a dremle, a small chisel and some patience. You need to grind through the bearing length wise twice. Then gently prise the races inwards and they will push out. Took me a hour for each.
