    evening all..lukes bike needs a new headlight,which we have but it doesn't have a sidelight fitted..what are the rules for front sidelights on bikes(apart from the obvious,white and switchable)can we use a separate light mounted below the headlight and could we use an led(either single or strip)..a bit of knowledgeable help please..

    You must have a side light on whenever the headlight is. If the headlight dosen't have one the front indicators can act as sidelights or you can mount an external side light.

    Can't see the point in having a sidelight on my Honda. There is no switch to turn the lights on, off or to sidelight only. I guess it's there in case the main bulb goes :-?
