Cannot get my oil cap off on the XVS

Hi all,

I cannot get the oil cap off on the xvs!

I have really tried but it wont budge!

Any ideas or help?

Maybe try warming the bike up for a bit could help if its a metal type

I tried that lol, it just wont budge I might try pliers or something tomorrow! I got a bit nift with it so had to walk away lol....

Its a twist...its a black cap with two humps like cammels...

I literally cannot get it off so I will try pliers once my fiance gets home in 5 x

mole grips might work but I'd suggest wrapping the cap in a rag first so that you don't mangle it

Put a flat blade screwdriver in between the two raised humps at an angle between them.
Then twist the right way.
Righty tighty, lefty loosey.

Try giving it a gentle tap first?

Its off! Thanks all! Their was no engine oil at all in their!!!

No wonder why I concked out in Bowerhill (got it started agian though)...
