    Thanks everyone, especially 8ball :-)

New seat arrived today (one I ought to have lowered) and it actually looks like it is lower than the one already on the bike. I suppose it could be that the last owner had it raised- apparently a pretty common thing with the MP3 for tall riders. Will find out on Saturday when I fit it and see what it is like. Will let you all know
    Cheers

Thanks Green man. Decided to have go myself in the end. Lowered it today and am pleased with the result.

Couldn't lower it as much as I wanted to as it has a sensor built into the seat so had to leave enough for it.

Wasn't that difficult in the end though.

Big thanks to everyone and maybe see some of you on the rememberance day ride on Sunday.

well done 8-) it is not rocket science...hat off to you for the attitude of 'do'it'yourself '... now the money you've saved you can fill the bike up and enjoy it .
