I do hope you are buying a AMD PC and none of this silly Intel stuff......
I play a lot of the online games at the mo, like WOW, EQII and Starwars.
I have GTR2 loaded and play that now and then but it is well hard.
I have finished Half Life2 and Half Life2 Episode 1.

Why on earth would I want to buy AMD when Intel are leaps and bounds ahead at the moment? AMD used to be ahead but the tables have turned with the dual and quad cores..........

Quad cores they are but the Dual cores AMD still are the boys to buy, also if you go to a real Game PC maker they still make all the Dual's with AMD, like AlienWare, Rock. Wait until Mid summer and the AMD will be out with the new CPU that is already put pacing the intels in tests by the big test company's. Have a look at Tom's Hardware (the bible site for all hardware testing).

Blimey, we should start a thread and see who's had what consoles! Sod it, we'll do it in here!

    Spectrum 48k
    Commodore Amiga
IBM XT - can't really call it a console, but it was good for a round of golf on! ;D (I'm not including other PC's in this list! )
    PS1
    PS2
    Xbox
    Xbox 360
    Wii

Google Commodore C64 emulator it’s all out there on the Internet complete with all the old games, ready to play on your PC. It’s just missing the nostalgia of loading a tape in the drive.

I love the old platform games. No brainpower needed.

You really were a Sega nut! I forgot the Nintendo Gameboy from my list as well.

FJ - there are loads of emulators out there (still can't find a good BBC B one though ) and I like the old Spectrum one as you can play Jetpac and so on. However, with Xbox Live for the 360 a lot of the classic arcade games are becoming available for this platform - Paperboy, Pacman, and soon to be released Jetpac and all we need are other games like Speedball, Manic Miner, Jet Set Willy and so on!
