if you can get 2meg ,that should be plenty for gaming, but depends on where your connecting too, even with 10meg i can lag up on a US server,

Just depends on how much your into online gaming

Yes I am now getting 3Mb plus (depending if I am using the WiFi or the NIC), this is now fine but the problem I have is that BT have had my money and for a couple of months now I have had little or no connection, I had one month where I had nothing, and this last month it has been running at 256kb until this weekend gone where they said they had done some work on the line and boosted it backup again.
The thing is until Oct last year I was running fine and since then it has been up and down like a whores drawers, but when I put this to BT nothing has changed bar what they have done to fix my issue.

They're getting your money every month, why should they put themselves out to please you??? >
I had a major falling out with Orange a year ago (I could see it coming after they took over Wanadoo, I just waited for them to f*ck up a perfectly good service, and in that respect they didn't disappoint...) It took ages to get any sense out of Pakistan - talking to a guy in Rotherham got it done, I canned them and have been on Virgin since, much happier
Racing is life, anything before or after is just waiting.

Well once again the Home broadband has gone tits up, and called BT again last night and they couldnt belive that it is taking this long to get fixed, and I said I know.
So yet again it is in the hands of the engineers.

    BT stands for Bloody Terrible.

So I get home to answer phone message saying that BT have fixed my fault, I rush upstairs switch on the PC, while doing this I see that I have no connection lights on the router.
The PC boots up and I still have no connection, so I call BT, after passing me backwards and forwards between peeps, I get somebody that wants to jump on my machine to have a look at the config and the Router, I say go ahead mate if you get my line working then you can jump on, you numpty.
2 Hours latter they are sending out another engineer, so I then say this will be the 3rd engineer in 7 months, what is he going to find the other 2 didnt??
But still he is supposed to be coming out today (even though I am at work and nobody is at home) to check the cables and the router and then the exchange as well.

Ho hum life is great with no pornband and paying out £17 a month for nothing......

gotta love BT and their fault fixing we're a wholesale ISP at work so when we diagnose a line fault etc we have to use BT Openreach to go onsite and fix things...always a headache. Some do a good job but most can't be bothered and blame anyone other than themselves.

    Arrrrgggghhh

Can you belive it, Sat and engineer comes out and cant see a problem an hour after he leaves it goes wrong, call BT argue with 3 different managers and then get another engineer to come out this morning, he turns up and sees the old BT router and goes there is your fault, they are a known issue, so after 7 months on and off of the phone all the time and 4 engineers latter somebody can tell what the issue is by LOOKING at the issue in hand.

I am going to kill someone, so if you dont hear from me for a while it will be cos I will in the nick alright....... > > > > > > > >
