I used to have two Rats as pets. (Names were Scabies and Domino). They are actually very social creatures and they just loved sitting on my shoulders at night watching TV with me.

There was something on watchdog about these a little while ago too, people buying what they were told were micro pigs that turned out to be full blown porkers!
