It's a camera, either down the throat into the stomach, or up the bottom!

Thankfully mine is oral!

Up the bum = colonoscopy ;D

I had one..and I was sooo frightened..but they can give you a mild sedative..and five mins after you dont remember a thing..even though you are wide awake...so demand a sedative....and no probs its a breeze.......

Had an endoscopy last week, most unpleasant experience! Didn't go for the sedation, you do retch a lot!! Just keep telling yourself that it will be over soon!!
