Not quite so. This is one of the great historical enigmas. It centers around on of the greatest scientists of the 20th century, Werner Heisenbourg and the calculation of the critical mass.

Heisenbourg maintained, until his death that he was attempting a bomb. Yet he made a critical error and indicated that he did so intentionally. Odd? You bet!

The difference now is the west needs Chinas money to bail the economy out.

We have run up so much debt not even Fractional reserve banking can sort things out any more. China is aware of this and we are going to have to be their bitch in the end. I suspect some behind the scene deal will be done to stop the war and China will free some money.
