It's such a shame he didn't know how much he was loved

A ride out to the funeral would be what he wanted. He used the Ducati ms forum also so there is a guy called Steve who will be organising something g from that side. All will come together. Will keep you all posted.

Tragic loss of someone with so much to give, an outspoken hairy lovable character who I always got on with and had a laugh with. Dad and I are absolutely gutted he felt so low that this was his only option.

We will both be available for the funeral.

RIP Hairy Maclarey and ride free.

In these heartbreaking situations I look back and wish people who feel so low could reach out. Perhaps they do and we don't always notice.

I didn't know Darren personally but am truly saddened by this news. Depression is an utterly horrible disease which is so often misunderstood. Too many people suffer with it all around us but it is so well hidden due to the nature of the disease itself.
    Ride In Peace Darren .

    So very, very sad.

I met him once and exchanged a few messages and he seemed such a really nice, genuine, down to earth man.

    Such a shame.

Deepest sympathy for his family and close friends.

Funeral currently expected to be 8th or 9th Jan. There is also a request for a pillion ride for a non-biking friend so if anyone can volunteer that'd be great

    More updates to come
