If you didn't see this in the ofther topic heres what happened -

I had a school kid walk out onto the road from behind a parked car. Natural reaction was to swerve, missed the kid but the next thing I knew was I was flying though the air. It wasn't a fast off only around 10 mph but it didn't half cause some damage to the bike.

Need a new front nose cone, and a right front fairing bodywork wise.
Tried to start it a few times since and the battery is dead so I have ordered a new one as it could have done with one anyway. Possible crack in the rad put I ain't sure yet going to have it apart at the weekend.

I used to be a car mechanic but not all that clever when it comes to bikes. So quick question -
Do bikes have an emergency fuel cut off switch in the event of a accident as that the only reason I can think of why it will no longer start...?

ouch, really sorry to hear that mate! would have been better if we'd got there 1st and let the tyres down! at least you're not hurt, bikes can be mended a lot more easily

Lots of bikes have a tip over sensor so cut the engine once horizontal. Should be able to start again once upright though. At least you & the youngster are OK, as said, the bike is just that.
