Haynes are a load of rubbish cars as well as bikes so avoid! I downloaded a free full workshop manual off the net (do a search) that showed you what every last relay ,plumbing and sundry does! If I can remember the link I'll post it for you!

Have you looked for a manual on disc? i have my workshop manuals for my bikes on a disc i got of ebay for about £3 in total i think, they are great, never had any problems with them
managed to get this sent to me in pdf (the full workshop manual that is) by a guy on the triumph rat forums Means I can print off the relevant bits - it all looks very technical lol
If you require any help just shout.....some of us are pretty knowledgeable in engineering areas...
Sometimes have to be a bit careful with CD manuals on ebay. Sometimes they are not UK spec models
Sounds like a man who has come across a import CD Manual then....
Still cant be any worse than when my Dad was a airplane mechanic and one time they had only printed the details for one undercarriage, and of course it was the other side that had gone wrong so they were reading the blue prints by a torch from the other side.
