Hand on heart, if you ride all year would you do that? Far better to utilise the ACF 50 which will last longer than one wet ride.
It depends how meticulous you are and if you have OCD like I do. It's ACF50 for the winter as it sticks and doesn't easily wash off. However, there are still small quantities of salt on the roads in high summer, so some people like myself use a corrision inhibitor during these months as well. FC365 is easy to apply, works well and because it washes off with water makes the bike easy to clean when getting rhe bugs off. Also helps protect metalwork from the acidic bug splatter.
