    Found the problem!!!

A crack in the spring holding the points. Must have been causing erratic firing. Put new points in and no knocking!!!

Blooming thing. Cheap Chinese copy points..... >

Just need it to stop raining..... :

    BUGGER!!!!

Had a couple of errands to run yesterday.... nothing major, so an ideal excuse to run the cub....

... got to Keevel and the bugger seized!!!! AR5E!!! Unsiezed virtually immediatly, but wouldn't re-start.... so a nice push for me!! Big thanks to all those who offerd help btw.

Got home, re-started... and no oil flow!!!! suspect oil pump failure.

    Am NOT happy... >

    Plan C:
Public transport - not ideal, but arguably more reliable

    HETHAN!!!!! Put WHAT in the bike.... J a p a n e s e... wash your mouth out!!!!!

Urrrrghhhh.... have come over faint at the thought. Prehaps Loops wants the engine for her CG??

    Anyhow,

Took the oil pump out cleaned it out and re-assembled. Started the bike up and oil slowly returned to the bike!!!!

Managed a ride today.... very steady to say the least!! But no issues. Suspect the seizure was the new piston binding in the bore. Need to run it in at a much slower pace.

    2 days and counting...... :-/
