Very very sad news indeed-just heard on the radio this guy has since died.
Tragic-my sincere condolences go out to all his family/friends.
At that time of the day he was probably on his way to work & to think his loved ones will never see him again...well it makes me feel physically sick.

NB: not to be confused with the 19 yr old from calne(Gazette/herald) which apparently took place yesterday. Fingers crossed & best wishes this young lad pulls through.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a crash on the A342 at Everleigh yesterday morning.

The incident took place at 7.45am at the junction of the A342 with Chute Lane involving a purple Ford Fiesta driven by a 45-year-old local man and a red Yamaha 750cc motorcycle ridden by a 37-year-old man, also from the local area.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and road was closed for some hours as police investigators completed their analysis of the scene.

Police were last night trying to trace next of kin of the motorcyclist and issued an appeal for witnesses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Mark Morrison at the Chippenham roads policing unit on 0845 408 7000.
