You're mixing up 2 stroke and 125, its a 500cc 2 stroke. A majority of 2 strokes that you see are 125s hence your confusion.

jes a 500cc 2 stroke! That must be mental. Still sounds like a scooter though!! ;D

No scooters sound like that not the other way around
Its a fairly easy mistake to make tbf.
Personally i absolutely love the sound of 2 strokes and the smell... and pretty much everything else actually
They have a bad reputation for being unreliable and more hassle than they're worth but that is only down to people not looking after them properly and 17 yolds thrashing the tits off of them and then complaining when they explode in a big cloud of smoke!
Yes they have slightly shorter service periods than a 4t and much shorted engine rebuild periods but none of it matters because there isn't anything quite as fun! And they're so much easier to work on so for a somebody who loves tinkering (something i'm very guilty of) they're fantastic.
When i've got my RS sorted I'm thinking about getting an RD250/500 to play with for when my license restriction runs out. Yay for disposable income!
And yes to answer you it is mental, and that one has had the bollocks tuned off it too xD

Aye they're quick even by todays standard tbh, but with a 500 in decent condition going for anything over 5 grand at the mo its not cheap xD the one in the vid was bought as a non starter for 2k and had over 5k put into it
even the 350s are 2k+ seems i'll need to start saving xD
