I was just doing some thinking and suddenly realized how incredible the engine, on any bike, but even more so on my bike(or similar bikes), really is!
For those that don't know I ride an RS 125, which is a single cylinder 2stroke. The engine power peaks at about 12k rpm, which seems fairly normal I know but then I actualy thought about it and broke it down to rotations per second, 12krpm is 200rps!
just think about it for a min... that is a single piston making a full cycle through the cylinder 200 times a second...
I don't know about anybody else but that's just unfathomably fast!
Id never really thought about it in that way before but now I have I think I will view engines with the awe that they deserve, they truely are incredible, and I have had so much fun while relying on them without ever really considering what a marvel they actualy are!
I know it sounds a bit... weird and ... well sad I spose, but its just suddenly hit me and thought id share
