    He was destined for greatness, my favourite rider of the current crop and a massive loss to Motorsport.

    RIP and thoughts are with family, friends and fans the world over

    It has to be one of the most horrific incidents I've seen in racing.... I hope the other 2 riders involved are ok, both physically and mentally

    I am so devasted by this accident he was a great talent and even bigger character will be hugely missed by everyone.

    Before reading that I was feeling the same, maybe Rossi will retire?

    For anyone that has seen Fastest that was released this year theres a bit between Kevin schwantz and Wayne Rainey where Wayne says to him you don't appear to be enjoying it any more. With Raineys accident that left him in a wheel chair, it helped Kevin decide on retiring.

    Rossi and Sic were pretty close weren't they? Racers understand the risk put being in the thick of it and directly involved is completely different.

    Thoughts go out to both Edwards and Rossi almost god knows how they must be feeling know.
