Yea the only reason they could be called motorcycle boots is that they look like something someone with a Harley might wear :-/

I just bought one of these lidl cheap helmets lol and they undergo the same tests as every other helmet on the market b4 allowed to be sold. These helmets actually have a better safety rating than some arai helmets and beats the £500.00 scuberth c3 flip up helmet in some tests lol.Do your research and dont just think because its expensive its safe or cheap and unsafe.

They only had XL's left - wifes head (medium / 56) so no good.
I had already checked the safety side of this helmet and you're quite right.
Safety tests show now alegiance to brand names - they are recognised European or international standards to prove resistance, strength & endurance capabilities.

They're your heads guys, you put them in whatever you want, it's a free country.

Question - If a £40 flip-front lid from Lidl is as safe as an Arai, why aren't they permitted on track? :-? :-? :-?

I bought some of the body thermal gear - very cumfy indeed
(better than merino by the way)
I will buy a helmet for my better half elsewhere - fit was poor for her head shape.

If higher safety spec is down to cost perhaps someone can explain how some of the £350-£400 helmets have only 2 and 3 star ratings? :-/

Nothing to do with clever marketing of a brand name then?
