    Either way, i would go for a decent chain and lock, like Almax http://www.almax-security-chains.co.uk/index.asp?pg=29 and then get a plastic barrel, cut it in half, fill it with concrete and bury a ground anchor in it, chain to that and get a decent alarm.

    Would never have another alarm on my bike (not that its worth nicking) had nothing but trouble, was for ever running the battery flat and would go off for no apparent reason.

    I've had a Krank Alarm Mine for years - brilliant bit of kit. They used to be available with a pressure plate. (didn't bother to look if they still are)

    Very spectacular when used with a balloon filled with petrol
    Not IN the garage, obviously........

    I must of fallen asleep is I'm starting to feel we are taking back the Falklands bot preventing theft of bikes lol
