Just coming down to Sells Green this evening and I heard a very loud pop, first thought was that the bike had back fired but then a bit further on I could feel it was a puncture on the back tyre
    £117 for a new one :'(

Lucky for me I wasn't far from home as my bike is fecking heavy to push..
Looks like a piece of electrical cable I dug out of the tyre, far too big a hole to think about plugging

I'm going to drop the wheel in here tomorrow morning

Had that on the Sv a few years back.... is a little alarming when you hear the pop!

Glad all is ok though (apart from the wallet!)

Caused by lazy bastids chucking crap on the roads and verges .. tins, bottles you name it

Crap everywhere just thrown out by useless unthinking dumfooks who don't give a second thought to the damage and cost their crap can cause >

I would put a £10 charge on all drink tins/bottles/takeaways repaid on return and confiscate vehicles and fine any scum caught flytipping 8-)

Got much worse last few years

I need amusement in my sad life and it looks, very much, like you fit this requirement admirably..............begin the amusement!!!!!

All fixed now. Looks like a piece of cable with a metal sleeve that was in the tyre.

On the plus side I now have a Bridgestone BT 023 which is supposed to be much better than the 021

Have to remember to take it steady for 100 miles :-/
