dont aim jet at any bearings , swing arm or wheel especially as can blow dirt in and grease out. too much force can peel paint off. no substitute for a bucket of soapy water...

Not for me personally, just a bucket of warm water and turtle-wax car wash, maybe a little de-greaser if needed

Use a diffused spray if possibly, oh and try not to blow the bike over - I've seen it done! ;D ;D ;D

    Not for me.

I have a Suzuki and it would blast the paint off it's so thin ;D ;D

Seriously no, I dont like them.

I just use a bucket and watering can (very occasionally a hose on low pressure) I'm a bit of a bike cleaning freak and as I keep my bikes so clean it takes literally minutes when I come back in from a ride to have it looking perfect with a bucket of Meguirs shampoo, cold water and swill off with a watering can.

Pressure washing a bike is a great way to get a bike clean and doesn't do any damage. What causes damage is the numpty having it on full blast and aiming at bearings/seals/electrics.

I give the GS a blast once a year. I go easy over the clocks and electrics but really aim at the bottom of the engine and the crud traps.

Never had any issues with water in bearings.

Nothing wrong with using a pressure washer on bikes...

As stated previously, don't overdo it around wheel, steering head or suspension linkage bearings. It's fine for getting loads of crap off, but to get something really clean you'll need to resort to bucket of water and cloth or sponge 8-)
