Apart from a few clear paths, the NEC car park was white. It was below freezing the whole day, so thanks to Ade for sparing us a chilly and potentially icy ride by offering a lift in his car.

Biggest disappointment was learning that the outdoor Enduro Experience was cancelled because of the weather and that we were too late to get a place on the indoor course.

Another disappointment was finding that we all had leaky coffee cups!

Dribbles mopped, we dashed round trying out some of the hundreds of bikes on display - S1000, R 1200 R, GSX-R, Monster, R1, ER-6n, Z1000 to name a few:

Fortunately our friend Elaine had managed to book the indoor Enduro course earlier, so we watched while she had a go:

Getting a bit of rear wheel slip:

Holographic snake oil not our cup of tea, we sought refreshment at the George White bar:

Harry the rebel wanted a go on the GSX-R1000:
Yes, the one labelled "THE FASTEST ROAD RACING SUPERBIKE ON THE PLANET - PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH" :

From one extreme to the other:

Even kids could have a go, on-road or off-road:

But this was as close as I got. : One day I'll try it for real.
