Our new acquaintance Andy led a bunch of us out yesterday around lanes West of Newbury - some of which I'd ridden before with Jaa, but they were all new to the rest of the group... The weather was much better than expected as rain had been forecast all morning but aside from a little drizzle it stayed dry which made the going much easier 8-)

Star and Andy when we stopped for a breather...

Another breather stop after a sea of mud and flooded tractor ruts that we all negotiated, eventually...

On a lane near Aldbourne where we waited for Jaydee after he'd been inspecting the scenery...

Near Aldbourne Jaydee got all-a quiver about some mythical burger van, allegedly the best in the country, and would he shut up about it? This is his reaction on finding said van in Aldbourne and spotting a picture of a kebab in the window...

The rest of us humoured him and joined in

Gotta spruce up for the van...

Two dodgy geezers on a park bench... do not approach or accept the offer of chips (well, ok we did take some chips but then we ran away)

Star gets busy with the jet wash at the end of a fab morning's riding...

Racing is life, anything before or after is just waiting.

We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.”
