    I've felt like that several times in the past and it accounts for why I've had so many bikes!

    I've also had several breaks because I've lost interest but I can never get it out of the system.

    I think it stems form driving a car ie pressing down hard on the pedal without realising it to stop quickly.

    I agree with Wiltshire Builders it is very much personal preference.

    Have a look on You Tube - do some searches there people always like to show off their bikes with a new exhaust.
