    Re: Anyone heard the news?

I'm not going to go through my experiences as I don't think many could stomach them, plus minors view this site.

    Re: Anyone heard the news?

As stated time and time again...I don't think the judicial system over-reacted in the case of the biker doing 166.

The links you have posted up just show in those cases the judicial system were...

    Re: Anyone heard the news?

    JD,

GSXR clocks may show 186, doesn’t mean they are actually doing that speed as we all know bike clocks are over-calibrated…chances are when he got clocked at doing an actual 166 he was flat...

    Re: Anyone heard the news?

Instantly = stop dead...I.e. something stops you travelling further...this could be a solid object if on a bike or a seatbelt in a car.

There’s big a difference between "managing risks" and...

    Re: Anyone heard the news?

    You mentioned drink driving...

That instantly carries a minimum 1 year ban and jail time(normally)...but for them it gets worse. (Normally most judges hand out a 2-3 year ban and 3-6 months in the...

    Re: Anyone heard the news?

Problem with UK courts is there is no consistency between them most of the time...they have guidelines on what to hand out but it's upto them to decide what they give to people...they may of felt in...

    Re: New Bike Test

Plenty of people give Module 1 the thumbs down...but I've yet to see anyone else come up with anything better?

I think the new test system is a step in the right direction...however I think they...

    Re: New UK speed limits

If I remember rightly based on the gov's own figures it was between 4-6% Of deaths/serious injuries that was down to speeding.

Like schwee says, it's about time they stop trying to divert the...

Re: Suzuki GSX650F vs Yamaha R6

Re: Suzuki GSX650F vs Yamaha R6

    Re: a law issue

I think if your just going along Motorways/Dual Carridgeways then actually an mp3 player keeps you amused so you don't end up doing stupid speeds to get that boring type of riding out the way.

Re: Suzuki GSX650F vs Yamaha R6

    Different tools for different jobs...

R6 (or any other superbike) might be quicker and handle better...but 20-30 miles into a rideout and you'll be crying to get off it.
