    I tried a bunch of workarounds with my phone and mounts or keeping it in the tank bag and after a couple years of doing that I shopped around and splashed out on a Garmin 550.

    Mate, this is based on worse case scenario, but if it's engine out and splitting time then it's a few hundred £ even if you are doing it by yourself, a gasket set for that is about £120 from Wemoto...

    I used to use Protyre all the time, in Bristol a couple years ago when I lived that way and they were always cheaper.

    In this case they would have been cheaper (Westbury I think) for ride in/out...
