Stamping feet and shouting does work, if it don't then your not stamping hard enough or shouting loud enough ;).

Is yours the type with the little magnet thingy by the speed sensor? If so I know the magnet casing gets brittle and the magnet can drop out when the wheels removed with the end result of no speedo.
