Have you tried a syringe and back bleeding ? Forces the air the way it wants to go, just go steady and make sure you cover everything as it can blow out through the reservoir when you first try.
I wouldn't use a jet wash on any bike, especially on a S1000RR, the sensors that it has might get water in them. I know someone's going to say what about riding in the rain, well a jet wash has a lot...

I have standard on mine, as they do 3 rear tyres, the GT is for heavier loading and they do one for as you say the trail.
What I do know is they have a dual compound, which is slightly different...

I never remove mine, if they want the money for the fuel I have just put in then they can allow me to wear my helmet.
I think its £15 per day to get in.
Make sure you pull the straps outwards before you put the helmet on, the helmet will have a small amount of give and should be enough to clear your ears, saying that not sure how big your ear are !!
I think the difference in fuel usage is down to the software used, not a 100% sure.
