    Beware of those eezi outs hardened steel is brittle break em and nothing drills em.

    Read somewhere about welding nuts onto end of exhaust studs - heat and extra grip will do the trick.

    Never intentionally on a road bike, your engine has to drop 2-3000rpm instantaneously as the gears change - so your cush drive, chain, clutch basket, gear dogs and bearings take this shock loading?...

    Have you got an alarm by any chance? - might be draining the battery.

    Charge level 12.6V at battery - fully charged 13.6V at Idle.
    14-15V at 4000 rpm.

    I Like to put a couple of squirts of oil down the bores if its been stood for a long time. Spin it a few times without the plugs in gets the oil around the top end before starting. Don't ride too far...

    4 strokes are generally more docile whilst 2 strokes lighter and more powerful but less tractable. For a beginner a 4 stroke is easier

    All gear boxes have some backlash, Worn chains have loose & tight spots and running the engine with no load on the back wheel is NO test.

    Put the chain on again and check for jumping in each gear...

    Can you see the float in the tank?
    is it stuck under the level of the fuel?
    can you move it with a bent piece of wire?
    now you know if you have an electrical problem
    They are basically a rheostat...
